Lerøy Seafood Group ASA

Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (LSG) is the leading exporter of seafood from Norway. LSG’s vision is to be the leading and most profitable global supplier of quality seafood.

LSG has salmon and trout farming licenses in Norway, and processing facilities throughout Europe. In the United Kingdom LSG owns 50% in Norskott Havbruk AS, owner of the Scottish fish farming company - Scottish Sea Farms Ltd.

In addition to the salmon and trout segment, LSG also has a white fish segment operating under the fully consolidated subsidiaries of Havfisk AS and Lerøy Norway Seafoods AS; covering from wild catch to value added finished products direct to the market.

As a fully integrated seafood company, the main activities for LSG are production of salmon, trout, white fish and other species – in addition to value added processing, distribution, sales and marketing of seafood. Through its subsidiaries, the group operates in Norway, Sweden, France, Portugal, Turkey and Spain, with sales offices in China, Japan and USA.

LSG can trace its operations to 1899 when fisherman-farmer Ole Mikkel Lerøen started selling live fish at the fish market in Bergen, Norway. Since 1999, LSG has acquired substantial interests in various domestic and international enterprises. Today LSG is the leading exporter of seafood from Norway, and distributes over 3 million seafood meals around the world every day.

Working with WWF in the development of the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) standard since 2004, LSG was the first company in the world to achieve ASC chain of custody for its sales, distribution and value added processing chain, including smokehouse. LSG aims to be the leading supplier of sustainable, quality seafood.
