The Norwegian Transparency Act

The purpose of the Norwegian Transparency Act is to promote companies' respect for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions in connection with the production of goods and provision of services. Furthermore, the Transparency Act shall ensure the public access to information on how companies handle negative consequences for basic human rights and decent working conditions.

Den norske åpenhetsloven har som formål å fremme virksomheters respekt for grunnleggende menneskerettigheter og anstendige arbeidsforhold i forbindelse med produksjon av varer og levering av tjenester. Videre skal åpenhetsloven sikre allmennheten tilgang til informasjon om hvordan virksomheter håndterer negative konsekvenser for grunnleggende menneskerettigheter og anstendige arbeidsforhold.
